Shortly after her son’s unexpected death in 2012, Alexis Roberts Keiner began working with other families after the death of a child, assembling Grief Teams of support in the communities and networks surrounding the recently bereaved.
In 2017, Stanford University’s Stanford Medicine X selected Alexis Roberts Keiner as an ePatient Scholar and nominated her for the Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) where she teamed with medical professionals, tackling problems specific to the intersection of Medicine and Mourning. Since 2017, she has spoken on panels and at conferences such as ReImagine End of Life 2018, San Francisco.
